It was reported that the construction work for Dongjiang Lake Automatic Water Quality Monitoring Station was started on July 20, 2016.

Dongjiang Lake Automatic Water Quality Monitoring Station is an important node for monitoring the changes and quality of Dongjiang Lake water. 5million yuan investments would be placed on the construction of station and supporting facilities, and installation of automatic monitoring devices, supporting sampling system, quality control system, data transfer and management system, 4million yuan of which was central government's capitals.

Once finished, the drinking water source in first-grade protection zone of Dongjiang Lake can be 24-hour well monitored, which would upgrade the environment supervision capacity and risk control capacity, as well as be significant to keep the safety of drinking water sources and carry out studies for environment protection of Dongjiang Lake.
