It was reported that a promotion working conference for the establishment of civilization city which was mainly for farmers' markets, malls and supermarkets, and commercial streets of urban areas was held in Chenzhou city on July 19, 2016. As stated on the conference, all departments should work together to fulfill ten tasks and improve the farmers' markets, supermarkets, and commercial streets to be top level of Hunan province, which was purposely to provide consumers with comfortable consuming places. 34 farmers' markets, 9 large shopping malls, and 10 supermarkets were covered into the assessment.

The ten tasks were as follow: dispatching business law enforcement detachment to farmers' markets; public bidding of management services company for all 34 farmers' markets; hiring staffs for handling management and services for the markets; tidy control and firefighting control for markets; facilitating the markets with toilets; improvement of infrastructures; upgrading and improvement of sea foods area and cooked foods; reconstruction and maintenance of drains and broken grounds; re-painting of walls; propaganda for the standards of establishment of civilization city; and etc.

As required on the conference, all the 10 tasks should be fulfilled before the end of this September. Strict accountability measures should be carried out by Chenzhou Municipal Party Committee and Chenzhou Government.
