The visitors and tourism revenue were with the increase of 13.28% and 16.27% respectively
It was learned from Chenzhou Tourism and Foreign Affairs Bureau that from the beginning of 2016, the tourism industry of Chenzhou city was being improved well and both visitors and tourism revenue were with sound increase. According to the statistics, 30.123million domestic visitors travelled to Chenzhou city, up 13.28%; domestic tourism income was amounted to 21.57billion yuan, up 16.27%; and 199,213 foreign visitors were received there, up 1.05%.
The key scenery spots and landscapes were key “brands” for attracting more visitors. Colorful promotion activities were held by Chenzhou city, such as “dating with Hunan, 5-19 100 groups’ travelling to Chenzhou”, “blessing China, unique Chenzhou- 2016 Chenzhou (Changsha) tourism promotion conference”, and etc. In the meantime, different activities were held in the counties and districts of Chenzhou city, such as peach flower festival of Zixing city, sakura festival of Guiyang county, Mount Mang azalea festival of Yizhang county, butterfly festival of Suxianling, food festival of Rucheng county, and etc. Thanks for the new sceneries available in both old and new landscapes, more and more visitors were attracted to Chenzhou city. It was recorded that during the Spring Festival, more than 1.204million visitors were receive by Chenzhou city, up 30.2%, contributing to 930million yuan tourism revenue, up 32.6%, while during May Day holiday, 649,700 visitors traveled to Chenzhou city, up 17.36%, contributing 414million yuan tourism revenue, up 18.72%.
From the beginning of this September, the tourism market of Chenzhou was being kept hot. Besides some individual visitors, more large tourism groups and long journey visitors travelled there, which greatly helped to drive the improvement of accommodation, catering, and other industries. The consumption related to tourism industry such as entertainment and service industry increased accordingly. Total revenue of catering industry was amounted to 4.3billion yuan in the first eight months of 2016. Due to the increasing demands on sports and leisure entertainment, the consumption on relative commodities and services increased rapidly as well.
In the meantime, Chenzhou city kept promoting the improvement of key tourism projects, which helped to extend the tourism source market. Currently, Hunan Changlu International Leisure Tourism Resort, Dongjiang Lake Leisure Tourism Resort, Great Mount Mang Ecological Tourism Resort, Feitian Mountain Tourism Cultural Industrial Park, Reshui Hot Spring Tourism Resort, Wangxianling Ecological Tourism Resort, Tongtu International Auto Camp, Xihe River Landscape, “one lake, two rivers, three streams” comprehensive ecological treatment project, Heaven Hot Spring, Xianling Hot Spring, Rice Field Park, Tongtianshan Tourism Resort, Bamianshan Tourism Resort, and other projects were being improved fluently.
