On April 22, Vice Mayor He Zunqing researched on the situation of Dongjiang Lake environmental protection projects and held a scheduling meeting on the progress of the project.

He Zunqing and his entourage first came to Xingning River Estuary Wetland, Taiqian Lakeside Wetlands and other Dongjiang Lake protection projects to view the project progress, then came to Phoenix Island and some agritainments in Huanghu Road to understand the construction and operation of sewage treatment facilities.

Dongjiang Lake Ecological Environment Protection Project includes a total of 91 projects. After the project implementation, the water quality of the main rivers has met the Class III standard of surface water, and the overall quality of lakes has met the class Ⅱ standard. The water quality of some local polluted water has improved significantly, the whole lakes have been controlled in the oligotrophic state and we have got some achievements in the Dongjiang Lake ecological protection.

At the schedule meeting, He Zunqing pointed out that we should further strengthen the organization and leadership, and strengthen the responsibility to implement. The county (city, district) should carefully sort out all the projects progress, be in strict accordance with the schedule and formulate the rectification program to implement the task gradually; should further strengthen the supervision, increase the assessment efforts, increase on-site inspection and supervision efforts, and follow up the project progress in real time; should further standardize the project management, improve the long-term mechanism, make the final accounts for the finished projects timely, be self-examination and self-correction once finding the problem, perfect the relevant information acceptance, accelerate the introduction of management measures to maintain and control facilities, and consolidate the ecological environment management and protection of Dongjiang Lake.
