Recently, expert professor group from New Rural Development Research Institute of Hunan Agricultural University and Linwu County carried out the beef cattle, taro, grapefruit and other five special agricultural industries and reached an agreement to formally establish the project of "school- county cooperation". This is an effective measure to speed up the pace of modern agricultural development.

In the specific work of "school-county cooperation", the two sides will jointly study the county's modern agricultural development strategy, carry out the demonstration ideas of agricultural leading industry, help to formulate the long-term development plan of agricultural industry, and build a modern agricultural industry base. The school should closely focus on the agricultural advantages of Linwu, do a good job on industry development, especially taro, grapefruit, beef cattle and other special industries, build the expert service team to carry out scientific research, establish the agricultural special industrial base, and promote the application of new varieties, new technologies and new achievements, to provide technical support for industrial development. At the same time, the school should take special training, joint training and other forms to train agricultural technical personnel for the local.

"Through the school-county cooperation, three years later, Linwu County will achieve 150,000 high quality beef cattle, the output value of 1 billion yuan; Linwu taro purification project has been invested 60 million yuan and has built 50,000 mu standardized high-quality taro base, to achieve the output value of 500 million yuan." Professor Xiao Diaoyi from Hunan Agricultural University expert professor group said. The responsible person of Linwu County said the "school-county cooperation" is a strategic initiative. The county will provide a safeguard mechanism in the organizational security, policy protection, investment protection and so on to achieve "school-county cooperation, all-win in production and learning".

Linwu County in the process of deeply promoting the agricultural supply side structural reform, constantly strengthened the driving force of scientific and technological innovation，and promoted the development of modern agriculture. The county made full use of the advantages of scientific research in colleges and universities, and formed the agricultural science and technology strategic partnership with Hunan Agricultural University, to achieve modern agricultural technology innovation promoting regional agricultural science and technology progress, and jointly promote the combination of the school agricultural science and technology achievements and the county agricultural advantages industries and specialty industries to provide strong support for the county economic development.
