On July 21, the provincial conscription teleconference was held in Hunan Province to convey the spirit of the national conscription teleconference and arrange the conscription work of our province in 2017.

The conference deployed the conscription work in our province this year. It was understood that our province plans to recruit 22 thousand people this year, an increase of 1,500 people last year, of which the proportion of college students was raised from 40% last year to 48%. According to the conscription work plan, our province conscription work is divided into four stages this year, August 4 for the deployment preparation stage, August 5 to 25 for the physical examination and political assessment implementation stage, August 26 to September 9 for review and approval stage, and September 10 to 30 for the recruits transport stage.

After the conference, our city immediately held the city conscription teleconference. The conference required that, the city military at all levels and the relevant departments should establish a strong sense of national defense, and effectively do the conscription work to contribute to the national defense; should improve the quality of the troops and increase the proportion of college students to ensure the high-quality troops and the new breakthrough in the proportion of college students; should strictly check the physical examination, political examination and honesty, and do a good job in the propaganda, the implementation of the policy, funding, supervision and evaluation work; should firmly establish the thinking of "a game of chess" and implement the conscription work to ensure the high standards and high quality to complete our city's conscription work this year.
