On March 12, Xie Weidong, Deputy Secretary-General of the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Congress and Director of the General Office, led a team to investigate the work of news and public opinion of the NPC in Chenzhen. Zhang Aiguo, Party Secretary and Deputy Director of the Standing Committee, participated in the activities.

At the forum, the investigation group heard a report from the Standing Committee of the Chenzhou Municipal Standing Committee on the work of news and public opinion of the Provincial Standing Committee. Participants also put forward many opinions and suggestions on further establishing the Provincial Standing Committee news contact mechanism, improving the Provincial Standing Committee news and public opinion work system, deepening the construction of the whole media structure, strengthening the construction of talent team, and improving the writing level of Provincial Standing Committee news correspondents. Xie Weidong fully affirmed the achievements made by the Chenzhou Municipal Standing Committee in carrying out the work of news and public opinion. In order to further improve the work of the news and public opinion of the Provincial People's Congress, he pointed out that we should earnestly implement the central and provincial Party committees' opinions on strengthening and improving the Party's news and public opinion work and the spirit of relevant documents such as the General Office of the Standing Committee on further strengthening and improving the news and public opinion work of the Provincial People's Congress, fully implement the responsibility system for ideological work and do a good job in propaganda under the new situation; should strive to construct the propaganda pattern of the NPC, constantly innovate working methods, improve and perfect the mechanism, strengthen communication and coordination with various media, and tell the story of the NPC in an all-round and multi-angle way; should consolidate the construction of positions, strengthen the deep integration of traditional media and new media, form a joint force of reporting, and earnestly improve the influence, dissemination, guidance and credibility of the NPC's news and public opinion propaganda work.

Zhang Aiguo pointed out that the Municipal Standing Committee should take the investigation as an opportunity to persist in arming the mind, guiding practice and promoting work with Xi Jinping's socialist ideology with Chinese characteristics in the new era; should adhere to the people-centered work orientation and do a good job in the news and public opinion work of the NPC; should further strengthen the NPC news work mechanism and the construction of talent team, make good use of new media resources, and carry out the news and public opinion work of the NPC in an all-round way.
