On July 27, Zhang Yangping, member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Huaihua Municipal Committee and Executive Vice Mayor, led a delegation to investigate the tobacco planting work in Huaihua City, and exchange and learn the main practices of promoting the development of tobacco industry in our city.

The delegation came to Guiyang Xiongzhi flue-cured tobacco professional cooperative association, Zhengli group of Baiyun Village, Renyi Town, and Lishuixia baking workshop in Renyi town. They visited the professional grading, supporting construction of water and tobacco, and the construction of curing room facilities. They also exchanged views with the relevant personnel of the Tobacco Monopoly Bureau and tobacco farmers in Guiyang County to learn more about the tobacco production, professional grading and specialized baking in Guiyang County.

Since 2008, the construction of tobacco farmers cooperatives in our city has gone through three stages: pilot exploration, rapid development and integration and standardization. As of 2019, 26 tobacco farmers' cooperatives have been established in the city, including 3 national demonstration cooperatives, 7 industry demonstration cooperatives, 10 municipal demonstration cooperatives, and 17202 tobacco farmers have joined the cooperatives. The rate of tobacco farmers' joining the cooperatives reaches 100 percent, the service area is 400000 mu, and the average service area is 15400 mu. Tobacco farmers' cooperatives have provided farmers with specialized services such as machine farming, seedling raising, plant protection, baking, grading, transportation, technical training, facilities and equipment maintenance, which reduced the burden of tobacco farmers.
