Green manufacturing is a new manufacturing model that deeply integrates green concepts with modern industry, aiming to reduce resource and energy consumption, and optimize the economic and social benefits of enterprises.
Recently, the list of green manufacturing for 2024 in Hunan province was released. 6 enterprises and 3 industrial parks in Chenzhou city made the list.
At the power supply manufacturing workshop of Hunan Frecom Electronics Co., Ltd., in Chenzhou High-tech Zone, engineers are conducting daily inspections on two newly introduced intelligent energy-saving aging cabinets.
Frecom has 8 world’s advanced power supply assembly lines and 2 automated production lines, which can produce 30 million power adapters annually with an output value of over 600 million yuan. Its products are sold to more than 100 countries worldwide.
All fully assembled products of the company must undergo performance tests such as high temperature resistance on aging cabinets.
In the past, the electricity stored in the “cabinet” would be lost. An aging cabinet operating at full load for a whole day will consume 700 kWh of electricity.
However, the newly introduced aging cabinet can recycle and reuse electricity, saving nearly 500 kWh of electricity per day.
After all aging cabinets are replaced with new ones, 4 million kWh of electricity will be saved per year.
Song Jinhu, the administration manager of Frecom, said that the company introduced a new type of intelligent energy-saving (testing) aging cabinet in March this year, which can save about 70% of energy consumption.
In the next stage, the company also plans to replace the remaining 20 aging cabinets with new ones and continue to invest in research and development in the fields of new material applications, new energy, and clean energy.
Six enterprises were rated as green factories, including Frecom, Tengchi Environmental Protection, CR Sanjiu (Chenzhou) Pharmaceutical, Jindiben Electronics, Upass Materials Technology, and Baijunda from Chenzhou City.
Yizhang Economic Development Zone, Linwu High-tech Zone, and Jiahe High-tech Zone were rated as green parks.
As of now, the city has 10 provincial-level and above green parks, including 2 national level parks. 36 enterprises have been awarded provincial-level and above green factories, including 9 national level green factories.
One enterprise’s product has been awarded the national green design product.
