In recent years, the local government of Suxian District in Chenzhou City has worked to improve its logistics system, vigorously promoted the integrated development of passenger, freight and postal services, and built a three-level transportation network, providing access to all administrative villages in Suxian district. Local characteristic agricultural products are also sold to other cities via integrated passenger, freight and postal services.
Nearly 40,000 pieces of express delivery are sorted daily at the passenger, freight, and mail distribution center located in Aoshang Town, Suxian District, which are first transported to the bus transfer station, and then carried by passenger buses bound for each township to various village level branches.
“We have purchased 5 new energy vans and operated them in conjunction with passenger, freight and postal buses, which can cover all township stations in Suxian district.” Fan Licheng, manager of the distribution center introduced that they have cooperated with bus companies to develop a diversified urban-rural passenger transportation operation mode based on regional characteristics. This facilitates the transportation of goods to rural areas and opens up upstream channels for agricultural products.
This year, the first town and village shared live streaming room in Suxian District was officially put into use in Aoshang Town. The town and village cadres lead villagers to promote characteristic agricultural products such as “Taohua” (a kind of food with the shape of flower) and swelled candy rice in Aoshang Town, forming an integrated rural logistics service system of production, transportation and sales.
At present, there are 8 town passenger, freight and mail service stations, 133 village level logistics service stations in Suxian district, with 53 passenger, freight and mail cooperation routes.
The delivery cost of goods entering the village has been reduced from 1.5 yuan/piece to 1.2 yuan/piece, and the delivery time has been shortened from 2 days to 1 day.
This has opened up a two-way circulation channel for agricultural products going out and industrial products going into the countryside, fully meeting the logistics needs of farmers.
