Hot spring – the treasured geothermal resource of nature—is popular known by its high recuperate function. Chenzhou city, which is full of hot spring natural resources, was named "the town of hot spring in China". Feizhong hot spring is one of the springs with less popular and high potential for development  in this hot spring town.

Feizhong hot spring is located in the Tangwei village where is about 2km from Wuhan-Guangzhou express railway station of Chenzhou. As recorded, Feizhong hot spring is one of the oldest springs among all in Chenzhou city. It was discovered by the Tangwei villagers in late Ming and early Qing dynasty with over 350 years history.

At the end of 1970s, the 408 team from Bureau of geology and mineral resources exploration of Hunan province came to Tangwei village to investigate this hot spring and confirmed that its daily water yield can reach thousand tons, and the highest temperature can be 39.8℃, and it was full of minerals to cure many different skin diseases and also help to regulate bodily functions.

Besides the above advantages of the Feizhong hot spring itself, the environment around the hot spring such as the beautiful original ecological environment of Tangwei village with elegant mountains and rivers also helps to add the value to develop it. 

Although under current situation, Feizhong hot spring still faces the difficulties in improving the traffic, accumulating more capitals to build better to attract the travelers’ eyes, the related departments’ support can develop it to be a leisure tourist area and benefit the local villagers.
