Around the Spring Equinox every year, the druggists from all over the country gather in Anren and have made the Chinese herbal medicine trades for half a month, trading up to thousands varieties of Chinese herbal medicines.

Gu Changfeng, 60 years old from Chaling County, rushed to the market early in the morning and put their own herbs in a prominent position in the market. There were a lot of people inquiring the price. For the first time to participate in Chinese herbal medicine trade, he took four or five days to dig about 10 kilograms of wild Polygonum viviparum in the mountains.

Different from Gu Changfeng, Li Dongsheng has made the Chinese herbal medicine business for thirty years. He has rented a façade to do the Chinese herbal medicines wholesale business when the Shitouba market was just built. There are filled with Chinese herbal medicines in Li Dongsheng's shop, about 15 kilograms each bundle. Li Dongsheng does not worry about the sale, because the druggists from Henan, Jiangsu and other places come here to buy the herbs every year and some herbs are sold to pharmaceutical factories in Changsha, Zhuzhou and other places.
