As Chenzhou Municipal Financial Bureau revealed, the budget enforcement of Chenzhou City in 2010 continued to maintain a good momentum in 2010.The expenditure directly related to people's livelihood, such as education, agriculture, farmer & rural area issues, social security & employment, health care, environmental protection, culture, and sports, amounted to 10.22 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 25.2% and accounting for 63.3% of the total financial expenditure.

 

 

Taking improvement of people's livelihood as the starting point and foothold of the financial work, financial sectors of Chenzhou City at all levels vigorously made adjustment and improvement of the expenditure structure to promote the equalization of basic public services in 2010. The city spent 3.21 billion yuan on education and 2.45 billion yuan on social security, respectively up 23.9% and 23% according to the previous year.

 

 

Chenzhou City also gave priority to the financial investment in improving basic medical services and supporting the development of agriculture, farmers, and rural areas. Besides, great efforts were also made to promote the development of such undertakings as culture, sports, tourism, and ecological protection.
