The First Precious Metal Exchange of China Established in Chenzhou

It is learned from Yongxing County of Chenzhou City, the "Capital of Silver", Hunan South Precious Metal Exchange with a total investment of 260 million yuan and an area of 189 mu (12.6 hectares) has been settled in the county, the first of its kind in China.
 
It is informed that the first settlement base lies at Yongxing County, totaling 260 million yuan in investment. Its one-year phase-I project started construction on Sep. 28, 2010 with an investment of 40 million yuan, and is expected to be finished at the end of this month, while its phase-Ⅱ project is anticipated to draw about 220 million yuan. The second settlement base will be located at Hunan Chenzhou Non-ferrous Metal Industrial Park.
 
After its operation, the exchange will build a professional and independent third-party electronic transaction and clearing platform through e-business information technology. Adopting the same e-commerce mode as that of bulk commodity, enterprises and institutions engaged in non-ferrous metals in and outside Chenzhou will carry out transaction via the platform.
