Recently, the Zixing Finance Bureau of Chenzhou City has earmarked 2 million yuan to subsidize non-commercial forest, aiming to building an eco-livable city. It is one of the city’s main acts in deepening the activity of striving for excellence and superiority.

 

 

Chenzhou’s urban greening coverage has reached 8.40 square kilometers, with the coverage rate hitting 43.5%. With a total investment of more than 40 million yuan, a green project is fully carried forward covering streets, roads, squares and surrounding hills of the city proper. An urban greening net has been shaped with the public green space as center, the greening roads and riverbank as skeleton, greening institutions and campus as supplement and greening surrounding hills of the city proper as background.

 

 

Moreover, the afforestation of S322 line and S213 line roads was vigorously carried out in the city. Up to now, 60 km of the S322 line, covering an area of 2,000 mu (329.5 acres) and 26 km of the S213 line, spanning 1,000 mu (164.7 acres), have been completed, laying a sound foundation for the construction of an eco-livable city.
