2011-07-08

The Seventh Hunan-Taiwan Exchange and Cooperation Conference on Economy & Trade is to be held in Chenzhou this September. Deputy Secretary of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee Mei Kebao conducted a special investigation in Chenzhou City to deploy the preparatory work for the conference from June 4 to 6. He also visited Zixing City, Guiyang County and other places, making a survey on how to accelerate the development of open economy, undertake industrial transfer and boost new industrialization.

Mr. Mei and his survey team first reached Yuhou Street in Chenzhou's urban district and pointed out that urban construction demands scientific planning. Equal importance should also be attached to real estate development and the protection of cultural relics, historical remains and ecological environment. He went to the production lines of such companies as Xinge Aluminum, Zhantai Nonferrous Metals and Huaxin Nonferrous Metals and got detailed information of their production, operation and sales. He urged the company heads to strengthen scientific innovation. At the construction site of Taiwan Industrial Park of Chenzhou's Export Processing Zone, Mei highly appreciated the mode of attracting investors via improving investment environment.

He emphasized that it is of great significance to hold this conference. The departments at all levels should spare no efforts in making good preparations for it to ensure a complete success. Chenzhou, as the southern gate of Hunan, should be daring in trial and experiment and accelerate the upgrading of industrial transformation, thus to drive sound and rapid development of economy.
