The 2nd award winner- Chenqian- attended the float gauging contest.

It was learned from the fifth Hunan hydrology reconnaissance contest commending ceremony that Chenqian- Principal of Feixian Hydrology Station in Guiyang, Chenzhou- was honored with the 2nd award. The contest was held every five years. This was the first time for Chenzhou Hydrology Station to attend this contest since it was established in 2008

The fifth Hunan hydrology reconnaissance contest was held by Hunan Water Resources Department, Hunan Human Resources and Social Security Department and Hunan Trade Union, and undertaken by Hunan Hydrology Bureau. It was intended to inspire the high technology talent cultivation, selection and motivation and improve Hunan high technology talent team. This contest lasted from August 13 to August 17 in 2012 and had three parts including the theory exam, interior work operation and exterior work operation, which took 25%, 25% and 50% separately in the whole contest. There were one first award, two 2nd awards and three 3rd awards to the winners. The winners of first and second award were honored as “Hunan Wuyi Pioneer” and “Hunan Hydrology Technical Expert”.

It was learned that the 6 winners of this contest would be trained for another month to compete in another contest, in which another three contestants would be selected again. The three ones will go to attend China hydrology reconnaissance contest in Nanning, Guangxi province this October.
