Higher Survival Rate for Seedlings Planted in Beihu District

How about the effect for the plantation work handled out by Beihu district in this spring? Reporters visited the district recently to check the details.

 

Most of the new seedlings planted in Tiger-shape mountain of Baohe town survived in this spring. The new green leaves expressed their beauty in the wind. This mountain was a joint point for Beihu district's barren mountain greening project along Wuguang high-speed train. It covered about 180mu areas. Assisted with Beihu district's greening project's funds, it can be subsidized with 400yuan/mu subsidies.

 

As one of the key channel greening areas, Beihu district carried out a 20-50meters long three-dimension greening landscape belt project along Chenzhou Avenue, Beihu section, including 7kms long crape myrtle gallery project and 8 small parks project. When reporters drived along this section, all green plants grew well. It was introduced by Zhao Weiyong- Deputy Director of Beihu District Forestry Burea and Deputy Director of Beihu District's Office of Establishment of National Forest City.

 

Beihu district where covers 2/3 of Chenzhou urban area acclerated its greening project to assist Chenzhou city's establishment of national forest city. Five greening projects on urban city, channel, water system, village and town, and barren mountain were promoted on the district to upgrade the ecological greening system construction, especially for the construction of lanscape forest, grain for green project, and public ecological forest. More than 120,000 square meters greening area were increased in this distict in 2014, including 89,800 trees and bushes, 9240mu land preparation and 8048mu seedlig plantation for barren mountains and new afforestation project.

 

In order to protect the greening work and reach better greening effect, the district carried out a unique management scheme with some medium and long term plans for afforestation protection. At the meantime, stricter prohibition measures were handled out well in the district, which helped to avoid the forest fire disasters there.
