It was learned from Zixing Statistics Bureau that per capita farmers’ and rural residents’ income were amounted to 1583.4yuan and 26,861yuan, up 9.2% and 8.7% respectively. Farmers’ income increasing rate is higher than urban residents’ for 8th consecutive years.

In recent years, Zixing city focused on the targets of well-off society to promote the development of agriculture, especially on modern, ecological, and leisure agriculture, which helped to keep the income increasing of farmers. Learning from the layout of northern modern agricultural demonstrations, eastern characteristic agricultural areas, and southern branding agricultural areas, Zixing city tried great efforts on improving 7 mainstay industries as fruit, tea, aquatic products, and etc., popularized the operation model of “company + corporative + base”, and paid more supports on storage, processing, and marketing of high quality agricultural products, which help to support 28 leading enterprises of agricultural industrialization and over 400 professional corporative, drive 53,000 families, and cultivate 532 agricultural technological demonstrations.

Zixing city also took active actions to improve leisure agriculture and guide new increasing pole for the farmers’ income increase. It held many agricultural activities as peach, pear, cole flower, tasting, fish culture, new year purchasing, lotus festivals, and etc., and cultivated over 200 rural inns, which promoted the deepening integration of agriculture and tourism, improvement of agricultural sightseeing tourism, and marketing of agricultural products. According to the statistics, the sales revue of leisure agriculture was amounted to 170million yuan. Ecology, sightseeing, and green agriculture were improved well, especially for some characteristic products as Dongjiang fruit, Dongjiang fish, Dongjiang tea, oil tea, Mao bamboo, seedling, and etc.

Furthermore, Zixing city well seized the chance of national comprehensive pilot of new urbanization to explore the cost sharing mechanism in transferring agricultural population to urbanization, and promote the pilot of power reform of rural collective assets and pilot of rural land stock cooperative, which helped to establish 36 land cooperatives, transfer 76,000mu lands, and guide rural people to settle down in urban area.
