It was reported that Liu Zhiwei- Deputy Mayor of Chenzhou City led some relative departments to investigate the project of footbridges. It was learned that 6 footbridges were planned to be built in Chenzhou city in this year, 2 of which were being promoted fluently.

Liu Zhiwei and his team visited Jinxiudongcheng footbridge, Luojiajing cross footbridge, and Youa footbridge. Jinxiudongcheng footbridge spans 37.5meters and is with 12 piers. Currently, 6 piles of the south side have been finished, and rest 6 ones were about to be done. The main work was estimated to be finished in the end of this August. Luojiajing cross footbridge spans 35.55meters. Currently, the removal of sewage pipes has been finished. Zhongshan West Street is being under traffic control. The steelwork of upper part is being manufactured by Chenzhou Road Machinery Plant. The main work was estimated to be finished in this August as well.

On the symposium held afterward, Liu Zhiwei discussed the problems presented by relative departments and figured out the deployment accordingly. Liu stated that all the 6 footbridges are well-being projects concerned for the convenient and safe transportation of citizens, especially for the students, so all departments should work together to accelerate the construction of the footbridges. As required by Liu, the main work for above two footbridges should be finished half month before preset schedule, while the rest four should be launched sooner with specified solution.
