It was learned from Yangmeishan town, Yizhang county that more than 3200mu rice seed production areas have been developed there in some months. Till now, 5100 villagers signed the contract with Hunan Longping Seed Co., Ltd. on land transfer and rice seed production.

From the beginning of 2016, the town carried out different measures to promote the development of rice seed production.

Hepingdong irrigation area is with favorable conditions as flat terrain, fertile soil, and convenient irrigation, so it is very suitable for the rice production. In recent years, based on the favorable natural conditions, the town kept promoting the rice seed production industry with specified plan and favorable policies, and introduced the reputable and powerful Hunan Longping Seed Co., Ltd. into the town to assist the development.

In the beginning of 2016, in order to make all villagers comprehend about the industry, some cadres were deployed to interpret the details of rice seed production and land transfer for the villagers and they tried best to get the consent and support from all the villagers to promote the industry. Local government helped to establish long term cooperation between villagers and the company, which provide a new method for villagers to increase income.
