Ministry of Commerce Investigated the Declaration of the China (Hunan) Pilot Free Trade Zone in Chenzhou

On January 18, Deputy Director of Asian Research Institute of the Ministry of Commerce, Du Guochen came to our city to investigate the declaration work of the China (Hunan) Pilot Free Trade Zone and held a research symposium.

 

In recent years, our city has adhered to the theme strategy of "Industry-led, all-round development", has vigorously promoted the "Two-ways open", has been prior to carry and try, and has made efforts to promote the industry, strong entity, improve quality and increase effectiveness, to inject the vitality for the city's rapid economic development. In 2016, the city's actual use of foreign capital was 1.52 billion dollars, an increase of 12.23%; the actual domestic investment was 46.868 billion yuan, an increase of 14.78%; the import and export volume was 2.71 billion dollars, of which the total import and export processing trade 1.73 billion dollars , the total import and export of foreign trade ranked the second place in the province; foreign contracted projects and labor cooperation turnover was 92.97 million dollars, the Chinese contract investment was 54.2 million dollars, an increase of 59.4% and 20.9%.

 

Du Guochen said that Hunan declares the national free trade zone needs for the top-level design and needs strengthen planning. The National Free Trade Zone is with strong policy function, intensive gold-content and high level. The positioning of free trade zone and which types focused on are closely related to the local industry form. He hoped that Chenzhou would extract the gold content policies which were suitable for their own development combining with the industry characteristics, identify the functional positioning to drive the development of open economic.
