On January 24, Vice Mayor of Chenzhou City Chen Rongwei and his party came to Agricultural Outlets of Sanhe Qiaolong Company, Vegetable Base of Aoshang Town, Agricultural Product Quality Inspection and Testing Center and Jiajia Farmers' Joint Market to research the supply of vegetables and the quality and safety of agricultural products during the Spring Festival.

It was understood that, due to the recent fine weather and appropriate temperature, the area of local winter vegetable was increased with adequate supply and stable price. According to the preliminary statistics of the agricultural sector, the city's autumn and winter kinds of vegetables were planted 880 thousand mus, an increase of 20 thousand mus, to guarantee the increasing demand for vegetables during the Spring Festival. At the same time, in order to strengthen the quality of agricultural products during the Spring Festival, the city Agriculture Commission carried out the wide range, multi-batch and high frequency random inspection for the upcoming agricultural products from 11 counties and cities. After testing, the qualified rate of vegetable testing was 100%, and the qualified rate of fruit testing was over 96%.

Chen Rongwei pointed out in the research that the city Agriculture Commission with the attitude of responsibility for people should further strengthen the detection and should release the testing results from time to time to be really open and transparent. At the same time, should take measures to crack down the illegal supplies of the seeds, fertilizer and pesticide and increase remediation efforts, to ensure that people could eat safe vegetables and agricultural products.
