Recently, the Science and Technology Award Committee approved that the project of “Wisdom of forestry platform research and application” was awarded the first prize of science and technology progress by Municipal Government.

Chenzhou took the lead in launching the construction of "Wisdom of forestry platform research and application" in the province and got the strong support from the Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government. Through the construction of a global high-resolution 0.5-meter aerial image data and high-precision DEM three-dimensional spatial database and a unified standard forest resource database, the project meets the two-dimensional business applications, forest fire video surveillance and command scheduling, ranger mobile location management function. It not only integrates forestry information, but also dimensionally displays the status of forest land, forest resources management and protection situation, and ancient and famous trees information, to achieve rapid and accurate access to forestry information. Appraised by the experts, the achievement has been overall ranked in the domestic advanced level of similar technology and the comprehensive application of technology has advanced the leading domestic level.

Chenzhou wisdom forestry platform research results have broad application prospects and have been successfully applied to forest fire prevention, forestry survey planning and design, wild animal and plant protection and other forestry management. According to estimates, the pyrotechnic identification technology and thermal imaging technology only need 3 minutes to complete from the perception of forest fire to upload through the platform. Compared to the previous traditional workflow, the work efficiency has increased more than 10 times. During the Ching Ming Festival in 2016, the fires founded by this system accounted for more than 40% of total fire numbers. At the same time, through the wisdom of forestry platform, the city's forestry resources database has be fully utilized, the cost of forest management has reduced significantly and forestry management efficiency has increased significantly.

The project construction has been fully affirmed by the superiors. The State Forestry Administration, the Provincial Forestry Department and other higher authorities as well as Shanghai, Anhui, Guangdong and other domestic and foreign units came to Chenzhou to study and communicate more than 30 batches. In August of 2016, Chenzhou City, as the only prefecture-level city, participated in the national spot of speeding up the promotion of land green and made the experience speak on "Internet + forest construction management"; in October and December of 2016, our city systematically introduced the experience and practices of wisdom forestry construction in national training courses held in Zibo Shandong and Dehong Yunnan.
