Beihu’s Achievements on Well-being Projects

It was learned from the Well-being Office of Beihu District that the annual tasks pre-set for 29 key well-being of Beihu District were fully finished or over fulfilled. The relocation poverty alleviation work covered with over 300 people from 100 families has almost been finished. Some of the poverty-stricken families have moved to new houses.

 

In 2016, the main well-being projects handled out by Beihu District were accurate poverty alleviation, school-aid, medical treatment, housing, and etc. Thanks to the strict responsibility system, powerful capital support, and rigid assessment, all the well-being projects were promoted greatly in Beihu District.

 

Accurate poverty alleviation is the key highlight part of well-being projects of Beihu District. It carried out “10 supporting projects” which helped to lift 1903 people and 4 Chenzhou municipal level poverty-stricken villages out of poverty; more than 8000 new employments were available there, accounting for 142% of the annual task; more efforts were tried on the improvement of rural environment, such as greening, garage disposal, lighting-up the rural area, and etc. were carried out there. In the meantime, assisted with “upgrading of transportation condition”, some rural road projects were improved greatly which provided rural reform with strong support.

 

School-aid and improvement of medical treatment were the key works of 2016 well-being projects of Beihu District. The expansion work for 18th Middle School, 19th Middle School, 18th Primary School, Shigaitang School, Wanhuayan Central Kingdergarten, and etc. were fulfilled, which grant local people with 6075 school vacancies. In the meantime, more than 370 teachers were introduced into the area.

 

Furthermore, the district improved the construction of affordable houses. 1760 suits of Gaobi low-rent houses were finished; Shanshanling and Jinqiao affordable houses projects were being promoted well; and 840 dangerous houses were reconstructed.
