Recently, Liu Zhiren- Deputy Director of Chenzhou Municipal Party Committee Standing Committee and Mayor of Chenzhou City investigated the development of exhibition industry and preparation work of Mineral Gem Show. As required by Liu, the 5th Mineral Gem Show should be promoted more international, professional, branded, standardized, marketing-base, and industrial-base, which is purposely to improve the boutique exhibition and mineral gem industry to be improved faster.

Liu Zhiren investigated Chenzhou Geological Museum, Shizhuyaun National Mine Park Museum, the World’s Non-ferrous Metal Museum, Chenzhou International Convention & Exhibition center, Chenzhou Expo Center, and etc.

On the following symposium, Liu listened to the working reports concerned for the development of exhibition industry and preparation of 5th Mineral Gem Show. Liu emphasized that all relative departments should follow the spirits of 11th Hunan Provincial Party’s Congress, Hunan Provincial “Two Sessions”, 5th Chenzhou Party’s Congress, Chenzhou Economic Conference, and Chenzhou “Two Sessions”; should well implement the strategies of “driving by innovation, rising up via opening up” and “leading by industry, improving overall development”; should cover the exhibition economy into “13th five-year plan” of Chenzhou City with specified measures and targets; and should try to improve the pattern of “great exhibition”, cultivate more increasing points of economy, and then drive the development of supporting industries as mineral gem, cultural tourism, catering and accommodation, and etc.

Liu Zhiren emphasized that the preparation work for 5th Mineral Gem Show should be well handled. The targets should be specified. It should follow the spirits presented on Director of Hunan Provincial Party Committee-Du Jiahao’s instruction; should try all efforts to improve the Mineral Gem Show to be international level show which can be competitive with US Tucson Mineral Gem Show; and should try to upgrade it to be a sound development platform which can be helpful for improving Chenzhou City’s opening up. More specified working plan and responsibility scheme should be worked out and relative preliminary work should be well promoted to grant the show with sound foundation.

Liu also emphasized that more attention should be placed on the planning and upgrading of top-level design. More sound experience should be learned from previous shows and applied to upgrade further work as well.

Some municipal leaders of Chenzhou City, such as Zhang Aiguo, Shou Jianzhong, Feng Haiyan, Zhou Hailin, Zhang Jun, He Zunqing, and Yuan Weixiang, and retired comrade Zhong Liuhua attended relative activities.
