After watching Hunan provincial TV and telephone conference about audit work, Chenzhou City held a conference as well and deployed its audit work as well. Liu Zhiren- Directory of Chenzhou Municipal Party Committee and Mayor of Chenzhou City emphasized on the conference that the spirit presented on the speech of Hunan Provincial Governor- Xu Dazhe should be well implemented by all departments. The function of should be well played for supporting the development of Chenzhou City.

In 2016, 1218 projects were audited by relative audit departments of Chenzhou City, which played an important role on granting the economy and society with sound operation condition.

Liu Zhiren stated that the function of audit should be well played for supporting the development of Chenzhou City. Audit is played different roles as “guide” of economic development, “eyes” of the government, “shield” of the cadres, and “sword” of anti-corruption. In 2016, all audit departments of Chenzhou City followed the decision and deployment of the Party Committee and Government and gained great achievements on implementing relative policies and improving the development of projects. Now, more projects are added on the audit range, so more responsibilities are being undertaken by it accordingly. All departments especially the head of departments should enhance the understanding on audits and try to play its best roles. All audit departments should promote the work as well, especially on the follow up and audit of some major projects and continuous construction projects. Some effective audit suggestions should be figured out by them for further regulating the management of projects, and improvement of the effects of investment. Some more attention should be placed on regulation of rights, safety of funds, and anti-corruption.

Liu Zhiren emphasized that the operation of audit results should be improved for protecting the authority of audit. The illegal behaviors discovered on the audit should be investigated strictly; poor follow-up of the problems discovered on audit should be placed for accountability; better communication should be handled out among the audit departments, discipline and inspection departments, and organization departments to ensure the problems discovered on audit can be solved on time; and more supports should be placed on audit work to grant sound condition for audit.
