On February 13, Vice Mayor He Zunqing led the relevant departments to research the development work of graphite and new materials industry in Chenzhou.

He Zunqing and his entourage came to the South Graphite Lutang Mining Area, Graphite Industry Park in Chenzhou Economic Development Zone, the South Graphite 200,000 tons Flotation Purification Project, Chenzhou Botai Ultra-fine Graphite Co., Ltd., South New Graphite Materials Engineering Technology Research and Development Center Project, Hunan Guosheng Graphite Technology Co., Ltd., Hunan Mingda Carbon Co., Ltd. and other enterprises. Wherever he went, He Zunqing had a detailed understanding on the situation of the project promoting and enterprises’ production and operation, and carried out on-site scheduling on the relevant work of the projects.

At the subsequent symposium, the participating departments and enterprises reported the current development of new graphite materials, and made comments and suggestions.

After listening to the report, He Zunqing said that Chenzhou is with rich resources, better base, superior location and other advantages in the development of graphite and graphene industry. We must strengthen confidence, seize the opportunity, momentum and focus on platform construction and innovation drive. On the next step, He Zunqing required to introduce the "Chenzhou graphene industry development plan" as soon as possible, build a number of platforms and promote a number of projects to attract a group of talent as soon as possible. At the same time, introduce and strive for policies as soon as possible and support the development of graphite and graphene industry to build Chenzhou to be the capital of China's microcrystalline graphite.
