On February 15, the reporter was informed from preparatory work dispatch meeting that 5th China (Hunan) International Mineral & Gem Show (short for “CMGS”) will be held from May 18 to 22 this year in Chenzhou city.

This show will continue to follow the tenet of "gathering global resources, establishing international brand, stretching communication, carrying forward scientific civilization", adhere to the international, professional, refined, market-oriented exhibition requirements, adhere to the core content of the earth science popularization, resource display, commodity sales, industrial investment and international exchange, to create international standard well-known exhibition brand.

The tentative theme of the show is the "colorful fluorite". The show will be operated by Chenzhou International Mineral Gem Exhibition Co., Ltd. with the exhibition layout of "1 +4", that is Chenzhou International Convention & Exhibition Center as the core hall, and Non-ferrous Metals Museum of Chenzhou High-tech Zone, Shizhuyuan National Mine Park Museum, China Mineral Gem Museum Expo Center and Geological Resources Museum as sub-exhibition halls. 2000 standard booths will be preliminarily considered to set up in the core hall of Chenzhou International Convention & Exhibition Center, a total of 100,000 square meters and divided into seven exhibition areas, namely: the international mineral crystal area, national treasure boutique mineral gem exhibition area, boutique jewelry and the province tourism resource exhibition area, mineral fossil area, domestic mineral crystal and ornamental stone area, natural science area and CMGS comprehensive service area.

The meeting required that departments at all levels should re-unify the understanding, attach great importance and profoundly understand to the significance for Chenzhou economic and social development brought by GMGS; pay more attention to all work of CMGS and put the implement work in the important place; refine the plans to make them more operational; implement the responsibility to ensure the show of smooth holding.

City leaders Shou Jianzhong, Feng Haiyan, Ouyang Feng, Zhou Hailin, Zhang Jun, and Zhong Liuhua attended the meeting.
