After years of development, Chenzhou nonferrous metals industry has formed a relatively complete system of selection - smelting - processing. In 2016, the output value of city's nonferrous metals industry hit 105.2 billion yuan and the industry output accounted for 32.8% of the city's scale industrial economy, to become the main support for Chenzhou's industrial economic growth. At present, the city has a total of 184 nonferrous metals enterprises (75 of mining enterprises and 109 of smelting enterprises), 22 nonferrous metals enterprises with the output value of over 1 billion yuan, 5 nonferrous metals enterprises with the output value of 3 billion yuan, and 1 nonferrous metals enterprise of 5 billion yuan.
