On May 18, on the opening day of 5th China (Hunan) International Mineral Gem Show (CMGS) in Chenzhou, the investment promotion meeting and friendship city signing ceremony were held in Chenzhou. Deputy Party Secretary and Mayor Liu Zhiren attended the promotion meeting and delivered a speech.

The CMGS and Chenzhou investment feature films were firstly broadcasted in the promotion meeting. The feature films introduced in detail the location, transportation, resources, investment and ecological environment, policies and other advantages of our city and attracted many merchants on the scene.

Liu Zhiren said in his speech that Chenzhou held the investment promotion meeting during the CMGS in order to cooperate with the majority of merchants, discuss the development plan, and seek the mutual benefit and win-win situation. He further introduced the unique advantages and amorous charm of Chenzhou on the humanities resort, resource treasure, healthy preserving places, important transportation points, open highlands and other aspects.

Liu Zhiren said that Chenzhou has begun to be known by more people, attracted the attention of mineral gems experts and collectors all over the world and attracted customers from all over the world since the 3rd CMGS. Chenzhou sincerely welcomes the guests and the world's vast mineral gems collectors to Chenzhou, to share the world's latest achievements, latest technology and latest minerals.

In the promotion meeting, Suxian District and St. Mary of France signed a letter of intent on friendship city; Chenzhou successfully signed 21 major projects, a total investment of 21.233 billion yuan; our city signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement with 5 strategic investors.

Party member of Hunan Provincial Department of Commerce and Deputy Director Zhou Yue made a speech at the meeting. Chenzhou Municipal Committee, Executive Vice Mayor Shou Jianzhong, Vice Mayor Li Wuyi, and Municipal Government Secretary - General Huang Zesheng attended the event.
