On May 20, the Museum Forum of 5th CMGS and Annual Meeting of 2017 Land and Resources Museum Professional Committee were held in our city. Director of China Geological Museum and Party Committee Secretary Jia Yueming presided over the meeting.

In recent years, our city attached great importance to the development of museum business, based on a wealth of mineral resources and invested 1 billion yuan to instruct the Mineral Gems Expo Centre and 3 mineral gem exhibition halls, collecting more than 20 million pieces of mineral crystal, gems, stones, meteorolites, fossils and other treasures. It has made important contributions to the legal protection, collection, display, scientific research, popularization of knowledge and cultural landscape of minerals and precious stones.

At the meeting, nearly 100 domestic museum industry experts and workers discussed the future development of museum business in China around the "build science hall and enhance the quality of the people - fully implement the congratulations spirit of China Geological Museum Hall 100th anniversary of General Secretary Xi Jinping". During the period, 5 industry experts, Deputy Director of Science Popularization Department Liaison Office of China Science and Technology Association Wang Dapeng, Deputy Director of China Geological Museum Liu Shuchen, Director of Xinjiang Geology and Mineral Museum Wang Xiaogang, Deputy Director of Hunan Geology Museum Liao Shan, and Deputy Director of Jilin University Museum Xu Yan made speeches separately around the theme.

The Deputy Directors of the Museum Committee of Land and Resources have been added in the meeting.
