Recently, the author learned from the Municipal Planning Bureau that the "Concept planning of Chenzhou airport new town" was approved by the municipal government. The development of Airport New Town will rely on the Beihu Airport and use the advantages of location, transportation, ecology and industry to build the important airport industry cluster and construct the important gateway in Southern Hunan Province.

According to reports, the airport new town planning area includes the Beihu Airport, the airport industry zone and the West River scenic belt, with a total area of about 23 square kilometers, mainly concentrated in the surrounding area of Beihu Airport. West to the West River, the airport expressway, east to Huatang Avenue; north by County Road X090; south by Chenzhou Avenue.

On the function partition, the planning cleared the space layout structure of "two axes, four areas". The "two axes" are the Airport Avenue urban development axis and Longxing Avenue urban development axis; the "four areas" are the airport core area, aviation logistics area, aviation business district and aviation experience area. At the same time, the "Nanling eco-city" as a supporting function group will get comprehensive development on tourism, aviation logistics, trade finance and other industries, to create a sustainable development and ecological development space.

According to the foundation and development momentum of Chenzhou's development, the planning put forward the basic principles of planning construction of overall consideration, step by step implementation, echelon advancement, and gradually expand the expansion. The 4C-level tourist regional airport will be built recently and the development land of the 4D class airport and the general airport will be reserved to realize the coordinated development of the airport service capacity and the urban aviation demand.
