On the afternoon of July 15, Deputy Party Secretary and Mayor Liu Zhiren made the investigation on the graphite industry project construction, mine technical transformation and safety production work in the Lutang mining area of China Building Materials South Graphite. Liu Zhiren required to accelerate the progress of project construction, increase the technological transformation efforts, pay close attention to production safety and promote the transformation and upgrading of graphite industry.

Liu Zhiren first came to the graphite flotation project of South Graphite to understand the progress of the project construction. South Graphite plans to build the graphite flotation, high carbon, ultra high purity graphite purification and other projects in the "13th Five-Year" period, a total investment of 2.5 billion yuan, of which dealing with 300,000 tons of ore a year and producing 200,000 tons of concentrate. The project will be completed and put into production by the end of 2017. The project will be the first time to break through the technical bottleneck of microcrystalline graphite in the field of purification and processing, lay a solid foundation to produce high-purity graphite, all kinds of high-end graphite products and extended graphite industry chain in the next step, and raise the overall profit margin of the industry to realize the comprehensive utilization of mineral resources.

Liu Zhiren said to seize the current fine weather, increase staff and equipment and speed up the construction progress; pay special attention to construction safety and resolutely put an end to safety accidents; pay close attention to construction quality and build quality projects. All departments should provide quality services for the project to ensure the early completion and early results of projects.

Subsequently, Liu Zhiren came to the main shaft of the sixth mine of South Graphite to understand the mine technical transformation and production safety. Through technological transformation and safety review, the sixth mine of graphite main shaft has been restored production and formed the production scale of 400 tons of graphite per day. Liu Zhiren said that our city introduced the strategic investor of China Building Materials Group to participate in the integration of graphite mineral resources, and hoped that China Building Materials Group will play the central enterprises funds, technology and talent advantages to accelerate the development of graphite and graphene industry. We should reflect the level of state-owned enterprises, manage the surrounding environment while produce, build the green mines and protect the ecological environment; should increase technological transformation efforts, strengthen the production safety and implement the safety measures to the team and individual; should prevent security incidents, effectively plug security holes, and prevent slope protection, mine collapse and other issues; should create a pioneering and innovative enterprise culture atmosphere and build a harmonious and beautiful mine.
