In Hunan, Guidong County in Chenzhou City is known as the "health paradise, summer resort". In recent years, Guidong County continued to develop tourism poverty alleviation to let the local people enjoy a huge bonus. On July 26, the Hunan national network media journalists went into the Guidong to explore how rural tourism brings a "beautiful economy", leaving local people out of poverty.

Guidong County is located in the southeastern part of Hunan Province and has 7 towns and 4 countries, 1 national nature reserve and 1 national forest park, a total population of 230 thousand, a total area of 1500 square kilometers. The primary forest and secondary forest were covered in the Guidong territory, the forest coverage rate of 85%, ranking first in Hunan Province. The average negative oxygen ion content in Guidong County was 46,000/cm3, repeatedly recognized as the world's first by the Guinness World Headquarters. Guidong County is warm in winter and cool in summer and is worthy of the name "ecological highland", awarded the "2016 best summer resort in Hunan".

In recent years, Guidong vigorously developed the health leisure travel, created the tourism brand through the "tourism poverty alleviation + new urbanization, agricultural industrialization, beautiful villages" and other construction projects, created a national tourism demonstration county, developed the beautiful village tour with a million mu of tea garden and flowers and seedlings garden and built 306 farm health and leisure summer resorts. The Jindong Village Oujiang Town is located in the northeast of Guidong County, built around Luoxiao Mountain with remote location and backward traffic. Young people were migrant workers, leaving only the elderly and children stay in the village. The village economy was difficult to develop. However, the Jindong Village has a rich and unique taxaceae resource and livable ecological environment. Relying on these advantages, the village took the rural health and leisure summer resorts construction as a breakthrough, vigorously carried out the health resort, leisure and tourism to drive the villagers out of poverty in 2014.

According to statistics, Jindong Village received 82,000 tourists in 2016, the steady flow of tourists brought local opportunities to get rid of poverty, and the villagers ushered in the "beautiful economy". The Jindong Village Tourism Association was set up to implement the hotel-style standardized management in the summer resorts. The association held the hotel reception etiquette, cooking, marketing, management, waste disposal, food safety, health knowledge, flower planting, garden gardening and other trainings more than a hundred times to let more villagers to participate in the tourism industry and improve their practical skills and management level.
