Stable Chenzhou Consumer Market in the First Half Year

On August 1, the author learned from the Chenzhou Municipal Bureau of Statistics that the city's overall consumer market remained stable in the first half of this year, and the total consumable turnover was 46.31 billion yuan, an increase of 10.4%, in which the wholesale, retail, accommodation and catering industry increased by 8.6%, 10.4%, 12.6% and 11.8% respectively.

 

From the consumption region, the urban and rural consumption developed synchronously. In the first half of the year, the city's consumable turnover was 33.42 billion yuan, an increase of 10.1%, and the rural consumable turnover was 12.89 billion yuan, an increase of 11.1%, the development synchronization of rural consumption and urban consumption increasing.

 

From the consumption category, the necessities of life and consumer upgrade goods had large increase. In the first half of the year, the retail sales of basic living commodities, such as food, clothing and daily necessities, grew 13.7% and petroleum and goods grew 17.6%. The consumer upgrade goods such as gold and silver jewelry, cosmetics, communication equipment, sports, entertainment and housing increased by 72.1%, 60.1%, 55.9%, 52.1% and 30.5% respectively.

 

From the consumption patterns, goods and food consumption was flourishing. In the first half of the year, the city's retail sales of goods was 42.05 billion yuan, an increase of 10.1%, and the retail sales of food consumption was 6.06 billion yuan, an increase of 11.9%.

 

From the consumption model, the large entity shops and e-commerce business raised steadily. In the first half of the year, the city's urban complex and chain supermarket achieved retail sales of 830 million yuan, an increase of 17.2%, in which the retail sales of Better Life New World, Shengyuan Times Square and LBX Pharmacy increased by 29.9%、29.7% and 19.0% respectively.

 

The E-commerce development improved steadily. In the first half of the year, the city's growth rate of online retail sales was 34.6%, 6.1% higher than the first quarter, and the e-commerce economy continued to rise steadily.
