On August 3, the 7th "Chenzhou Cup" jade carving professional skills competition hosted by Chenzhou Federation of Trade Unions, Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau and the City Arts and Crafts Association was held in Linwu County. The 41 carvers selected from jade enterprises in whole city conducted the practice competition on the pendant, handle pieces and carved ornaments with the local "fragrant jade" as raw materials.

It was reported that the competition aims to promote the spirit of craftsmen, protect the traditional jade carving, promote the integration development of traditional jade carving industry and gold and silver jewelry, industrial design, arts and crafts, culture and creative, and high-end tourism, promote the change from "Chenzhou manufacturing" to "Smart manufacturing", better explore the craftsmen of Chenzhou jade carving industry, cultivate the processing talent, promote "Chenzhou jades out of Chenzhou" and create the brand of "Chenzhou Jade".
