Recently, Chenzhou introduced the "Development plan of mineral gemstone industry in Chenzhou (2017-2025)" (hereinafter referred to as "plan"). The "plan" analyzed the basis and the situation of Chenzhou gem mineral, cleared the development goals, and put forward the specific requirements for the development of mineral gemstone industry in Chenzhou.

The "plan" pointed out that we will develop Chenzhou mineral gem industry to the characteristic industry with prominent resource advantages, leading design creativity, mature brands, perfect market system, and integration development of mining, research and development, design, processing, trade, exhibition, tourism, auction, identification, science and service through 5 to 10 years of efforts; build Chenzhou into the international mineral gem production and processing base, research and innovation base, leading mineral gem and precious metals trading center in the world; build the mineral gem industry into the new 100 billion industry in Chenzhou; make the "China (Hunan) International Mineral Gem Show (CMGS)" to an international famous gem event, along with Tucson in the United States and Munich in Germany.

By 2020, the annual sales income of mineral gem industry will have been over 50 billion yuan, tax of over 3 billion yuan to promote the output value of exhibition, education and training, logistics, packaging, printing, tourism and other industries related with mineral gem industry over 150 billion yuan, and drive the personnel to 800,000 people. By 2025, the city's mineral gem industry will have achieved annual output value of 100 billion yuan, the annual tax paid over 6 billion yuan.

"One show" is the China (Hunan) International Mineral Gem Show; "Three platforms" are to deepen the platform development of the primary factor market, promote the platform construction of secondary market trading, and actively build and improve a number of research and development, testing, identification, training and other public service platforms; "Four major industries" are the mineral crystal industry, jewelry jade industry, ornamental stone industry and precious metal jewelry industry; "Five functions" are the strong creative R & D design functions, the headquarters of economic functions, financial services, e-commerce functions and education and training functions.

At present, the "policies and regulations on mineral gemstone industry development" as the supporting policies of the "plan" will be introduced soon to give strong support in the finance, land, personnel training reserves, etc. The introduction of policies will accelerate the formation of a new pattern of mineral jewelry and precious metal jewelry industry in our city, and promote the branding, characteristics and internationalization of mineral gem industry in Chenzhou.

In the future, the "Mineral capital of China" will become the beautiful "city card" of Chenzhou.
