On the afternoon of August 7, Deputy Secretary of Chenzhou Municipal Committee and Mayor Liu Zhiren presided over the project scheduling meeting of the South Graphite. Liu Zhiren stressed to strengthen leadership and optimize the environment to create the graphite industry into the pillar industry in the whole city.

Southern Graphite Co., Ltd. planned to invest 4.8 billion yuan to accelerate the intensive processing of microcrystalline graphite in 3 steps during the period of 13th Five-Year. At present, the high-carbon graphite purification project has passed the project approval, feasibility study, budget review and commencement approval of China Building Materials Co., Ltd. The main project construction was planned to start on August 9 this year and will be put into trial operation in May 2018. But the South advanced (new) Carbon materials research institute, 200,000 tons export base, high purity graphite project with an annual output of 100,000 tons and other projects still have some planning, land, talent and other issues.

Liu Zhiren pointed out that the graphite industry is one of the city's 5 key industries determined by the municipal committee and government. We must unswervingly make every effort to do all the work in the development of the graphite industry; must carry forward the open-mindedness, realistic and innovative spirit of Chenzhou to accelerate the construction of graphite industry as a pillar industry in Chenzhou.

Liu Zhiren required attaching great importance to unity of thinking. All departments at all levels must actively support the development of the graphite industry, and unify the thought to the spirit of the 5th National Party Congress and the requirements of "two sessions"; must strengthen leadership and clear responsibility; must summarize, fully solve and implement the land, planning, project, capital, personnel and other related issues existing in the projects.

Liu Zhiren stressed to optimize the environment and fully support. We must further simplify the administrative examination and approval, increase the intensity of land acquisition and demolition, and improve the relevant supporting facilities; must increase investment efforts and yield the maximum benefit; must increase the capital, human and energy investment, and set up special teams, special studies, and special support to create a good construction and development environment for enterprises. At the same time, the enterprises must make industrial planning scientifically and the annual work plan and programs, and plan the future development of graphite industry; must attach great importance to ecological and environmental protection and safety management to promote green development and safe development.
