From August 6 to 7, President of Hunan University Duan Xianzhong and his entourage inspected in Chenzhou and signed the strategic cooperation agreement to further strengthen the Industry-University-Research (IUR). Deputy Secretary of Municipal Party Committee and Mayor Liu Zhiren attended and witnessed the signing ceremony.

Since 2010, our city and Hunan University have established a comprehensive strategic cooperative relationship in terms of economy, science and technology and personnel training in line with the principle of "complementary resources, efficiency and common development". Up to now, our city has cooperated with Hunan University on 12 projects to achieve sales income of nearly 1 billion yuan.

Duan Xianzhong and his entourage visited the Dongjiang River Big Data Center, Guosheng Graphite, GOSPELL, the construction site of South graphite microcrystalline graphite flotation project and other places. At the signing ceremony, our city and Hunan University signed to jointly promote the construction of the "National Sustainable Development Agenda Innovation Demonstration Zone", jointly establish the Carbon Materials Research Institute in Chenzhou, jointly establish the National Supercomputing Changsha Center (Chenzhou) Sub-center, jointly organize the Hunan University Technology Transfer Center (Chenzhou) Sub-center, and jointly establish the talent introduction and training mechanism.

Duan Xianzhong said that there are enough soil, atmosphere and condition to innovate and start business in Chenzhou. Hunan University has a tradition of serving local economic development and will strengthen the plan through cooperation with Chenzhou to encourage teachers and students to focus on the key issues of local economic development in Chenzhou, play the academic advantage to solve the problems, encourage schools to connect outstanding scientific research with Chenzhou capital, and sign the strategic cooperation agreement as a new starting point to make a positive contribution to Chenzhou's economic development

Liu Zhiren pointed out that we should continue to improve the cooperation mechanism between cities and schools. He hoped that the two sides will effectively strengthen the organization and leadership of the comprehensive cooperation between cities and schools, establish a close working system, actively explore new systems and mechanisms for effective cooperation, jointly agree on the cooperative work plan, coordinate and solve specific problems in cooperation and actively build a strong atmosphere to promote cooperation to ensure the effectiveness of cooperation.

Liu Zhiren stressed that we should continue to expand the areas of cooperation between cities and schools. On the basis of summing up the successful experience of the previous stage of cooperation, we should innovate the mode of cooperation between cities and schools, and constantly expand the areas of cooperation, focus on the new materials, intelligent manufacturing, electronic information, building materials and other key areas, especially the comprehensive utilization and deep processing of graphite, fluorite and other non-metallic mineral resources, and the big data integrated applications, accelerate the transfer and industrialization of scientific and technological achievements, boost the industry upgrading and core competence promotion of core enterprises in our city and accelerate the process of high-tech industrialization.

Liu Zhiren stressed to continuously improve the level of cooperation between cities and schools. We should deepen cooperation in the personnel training, personnel introduction, the exchange of cadres and other aspects to provide talent support and strategic decision consulting for enhancing the regional competitiveness, promoting industrial economic development, improving the level of business management, and realizing the social and economic sustainable development, and provide support for creating a "National Sustainable Development Agenda Innovation Demonstration Zone" in our city.
