The notice pointed out that after township registration, county level verification, city state recommend, villages and towns preliminary examination, experts evaluation, on-site review, meeting review, public notice and other procedures, 28 towns in the province were selected as the Hunan beautiful town demonstration (the 3rd batch), including Xinglang Town Jiahe County.

Xinglang Town is located in the East of Jiahe County, 12 kilometers from the county, known as the "East Gate". The town has a total area of 75.21 square kilometers with 44.2 thousand people, jurisdiction over 16 administrative villages and 4 neighborhood communities. During the"12th Five-Year" period, the total revenue was 228 million yuan and the per capita income of farmers was 15,158 yuan. The town with convenient transportation has Beijing-Zhuhai double track (Hengyang Wuhan Expressway), Xiamen Chengdu Expressway and Jiaxin, Jialan, Jianing and other provincial roads, access to Guangxi, Guangdong, Jiangxi and other places. The whole area belongs to the subtropical monsoon climate with abundant light resources, abundant rainfall and four seasons suitable for farming.

Xinglang Town was successfully nominated for the 3rd batch of beautiful town demonstration in Hunan Province in September this year. After the finalists, Xinglang Town quickly unified the thought, took creating beautiful towns as an opportunity, docked with the development strategy of County committee and government, made full use of regional advantages, seized the development opportunities, aimed at the strategic objectives of ecological strong town, tourist town, and urban and rural integration demonstration town, improved urban construction and management level, accelerated the economic development with the project construction, improved the social governance with the improvement of people's livelihood, and strived to build a ecological town based on modern green ecological industry and suitable for live, industry and travel.
