Through the investigation, Chujiang Town Linwu County has rich herbal resources and unique climate environment, producing high quality wild wormwood. After understanding the less investment, quick effect, big market demand and other characteristics of wormwood, Chujiang Town put the wormwood planting and processing as a leading industry of poverty alleviation and constructed the wormwood products processing industrial park to realize scale and industrialization development.

Hunan Fubushi Ecological Agriculture Development Co. Ltd. invested 240 million yuan to build the new wormwood industry development mode of "poor households+ base + cooperative + company + E-commerce + enterprises".

The county organized the town and village cadres to Nanyang, Hubei and other places to study the wormwood industrial planting technology, economic benefit and development prospects and aroused the enthusiasm of developing the wormwood industry in the town. In terms of policy support, the county subsidized not less than 1500 yuan per household of poverty - relief funds for the poor households of wormwood planting to guide the masses to plant the wormwood.

According to the principle of first demonstration and promotion, the town started in the key villages with over 100 poor people and developed 1 or 2 standardized wormwood planting demonstration gardens with an area of about 100 mu in every village to accumulate the planting experience, cultivate high quality seedlings, form the demonstration effect of village committee and eliminate the concerns of farmers.

Chujiang Town also established the wormwood planting cooperatives in every village, absorbed the poor households of wormwood planting into membership and signed the purchase contracts with them to buy at 3000 yuan per ton. At the same time, they relied on professional colleges to research and develop the wormwood products, carried out industrial chain investment, increased the intensive processing project of wormwood and extended the industrial chain to add value and increase efficiency. With the development of Tongtian Mountain tourism in Linwu County, they developed a set of convalescence and leisure in one of the tourism projects to create unique charm of Chujiang wormwood pastoral complex.

As of now, the wormwood products industrial park with investment of 80 million yuan has been completed and put into production, the annual processing capacity of 10 thousand tons, and could realize the output value of 600 million yuan. Chen Linxiang, Party Secretary of Chujiang Town said that the planting scale in Chujiang town could reach 10000 mu by 2018, 3000 mu of poor households planting to basically realize the poor household coverage. The wormwood planting income of poor households can reach 24 million yuan, the average income of 40 thousand yuan to steadily promote the 558 poor households out of poverty.
