On the afternoon of December 18th, Deputy Party Secretary and Mayor Liu Zhiren led the leaders of Reform and Development Commission, Finance Department, Land and Resources Bureau and other departments to investigate the Beihu airport project and the Dongjiang water diversion project. Liu Zhiren stressed that we must unswervingly make a firm goal, enhance scheduling and coordination, and promote the project construction at full speed on the basis of ensuring safety and quality.

Liu Zhiren and his entourage visited the Beihu Airport project and Dongjiang water diversion project, understood the progress of the project in detail and solve the difficulties and problems encountered in project construction through on-site scheduling. Liu Zhiren required seizing the good weather, strengthening coordination and docking, and adopting the linkage of owners, construction, supervision and detection to promote the project in the case of ensuring the safety and quality.

Liu pointed out that the Beihu airport project and the Dongjiang water diversion project are livelihood projects, and also the important points to implement of the spirit of the 19th CPC National Congress and improve the quality and benefit of Chenzhou development. Beihu airport project and the Dongjiang water diversion project have far-reaching significance for the future economic and social development of Chenzhou, which are the foundation and long-term projects.

Liu stressed that we must unswervingly make a firm goal to make the Dongjiang water diversion project reach the condition of water supply before Spring Festival and make sure all design functions meet the standards on the premise of ensuring safety and quality; the local governments, municipal departments and the construction site management departments along the line must strengthen the coordination and scheduling to support project construction; the machinery, equipment, personnel, funds and so on should be guaranteed in place; must grasp the key points, strengthen problem oriented and take effective measures to solve the key problems in the project to promote the project construction; must strengthen supervision, and report and solve the problems timely once found.

Liu stressed that we must promote the Beihu airport project construction in accordance with established target; must invert schedule, cross operation, advance in parallel and solve the problems one by one according to the project problem list to strive to start the main project in March next year; must strengthen quality, safety, coordination and scheduling, do well in the construction safety and quality, and not allow safety accidents and quality problems; must speed up the relevant preliminary work, lay the foundation for the early completion and operation of the airport, and focus on the runway, tower, terminal building, external transportation and other work; must create a good environment and do our best to support the Beihu airport project.
