Chenzhou Export Enterprises to Apply for China-Georgia Certificate of Origin

On December 30th 2017, the author learned from Chenzhou Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau that the export enterprises in our city can apply for the certificate of origin of the China-Georgia Free Trade Agreement (FTA) from January 1st 2018.

It was reported that the "Free Trade Agreement between the Government of China and Georgia" was the first free trade agreement launched and reached by China after the "Belt and Road" initiative put forward, which was signed in May 13, 2017 and will officially come into force on January 1st, 2018. After the implementation of the FTA, Georgia will impose zero tariffs on 96.5% of China's products and China will impose zero tariffs on 93.9% of Georgia's products.

Chenzhou Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau reminded that the export enterprises in our city can check the tariff concessions about the products to Georgia through the China Free Trade Zone Service Network. In January 1st 2018, the enterprises can apply for the certificate of origin of China-Georgia FTA for goods exported to Georgia to enjoy the tariff reduction and customs clearance convenience.

After the implementation of agreement, the export enterprises in our city can further use the preferential policies of origin to expand the European and Asian markets, which will greatly promote the development of foreign trade in our city.
