Recently, the Ministry of Civil Affairs announced the first batch of national rural happy community construction demonstration units and Jinshan Village of Tuqiao Town, Rucheng County became the only village to receive this award in Chenzhou City.
Jinshan Village is a national AAA tourist attraction and one of the famous historical and cultural villages in Hunan Province, 7 km away from Rucheng County, 15 village groups under its jurisdiction, with 618 households and 2437 people, Xiamen-Chengdu Highway, National Highway 357 line and Provincial Road 910 line through the whole village. There are 7 ancient ancestral temples and ancient buildings in the Ming and Qing Dynasties in the village with proper craftsmanship architecture and rich culture, in which the Ye's Family Temple( Dunben Temple) and Lu's Family Temple( Xulun Temple) were listed as state key cultural relic protection units in 2013.
In recent years, Rucheng County has seized the opportunities of Chenzhou City to build a famous tourist destination for leisure and vacation at home and abroad, intensify the construction of rural tourism, integrate the science culture, ancient ancestral halls and ancient residential tourism resources of Jinshan Village, adopte the model of "government guidance, mass main body, company development and market operation" and establish the Rucheng Jinshan Ancient Village Cultural Tourism Development Co., Ltd. The construction content included the renovation and development of ancient ancestral halls, facade renovation of folk houses, development of lotus plants, construction of Longteng ecological manor, flower industry base, home stays, tourist service center and tourist supporting facilities, industry cultivation and other projects. The development and construction of the Jinshan Ancient Village Scenic Area has become the top demonstration of the global tourism development and targeted poverty alleviation promotion in Rucheng County, and the main position to displaying science culture and an important destination of cultural tourism.
