In order to further strengthen the basic work at the grass-roots level, open up the "Last mile" of health poverty alleviation policy implementation and make the poor people have a sense of gain, Zixing City decided to carry out the health poverty alleviation free clinic activities from January to March in 2018.

The large clinic activities seized the favorable opportunity of slack season and the migrant workers returning home during the Spring Festival, and organized 3 municipal level II hospitals and township health centers to carry out a free clinic in 25 poor villages at the provincial and municipal levels. The clinic activities focused on the poor households suffering from illness and poor people with serious illness and chronic disease, and propagated the health poverty alleviation policy in the villages to provide health care services for the poor; carried out the verification and approval work for the 4 types and 9 diseases of the rural poor, and conducted the track service for treated people and intensive treatment for untreated people; launched the activities of health lectures into the villages according to the characteristics of the regional diseases in the poor villages to improve the ability of the poor to prevent and protect against diseases.

It was reported that the health poverty alleviation clinic activities will affect 8 towns and 25 provincial and municipal poverty villages in Zixing City, a total of 31473 poor people.
