2 Chenzhou Schools Selected Chinese Excellent Culture and Art Heritage Schools

2018-01-19

A few days ago, the Ministry of Education released the identified results of the second batch of Chinese excellent culture and art heritage schools in national primary and middle schools. The Xiangnan College affiliated primary school and the 11th Primary School in our city were selected and the heritage projects were the Dabujiang Quilting Embroidery and Anren Rice Sculpture.

In 2010, the Ministry of Education office issued the "Notice on carrying out the activities of establishing the excellent Chinese culture and art heritage schools in primary and middle schools". In 2011, the City Second Middle School and Chengnan Primary School in Guiyang County were selected for the first batch of heritage schools.

Last year, 1036 schools were considered to be the second batch of Chinese excellent cultural and artistic heritage schools in primary and secondary schools in China after the independent declaration of schools, recommendation of the provincial education administrative department and review of experts organized by Ministry of Education. At present, there are 4 heritage schools in our city.

The Chinese excellent cultural and artistic heritage schools aim to effectively integrate the Chinese traditional culture into the whole process of aesthetic education, lead students to inherit the excellent Chinese traditional culture and art, absorb the wisdom of China and carry forward the Chinese spirit, establishing a batch every two years.

The Ministry of Education has named the selected schools as "Chinese excellent cultural and art heritage schools" and will continue to support the establishment of heritage schools, introduce and popularize typical experiences through various channels and give certain financial support to the heritage schools in the Midwest and rural areas that have been carrying out their work effectively.

However, the establishment of heritage schools does not engage in a "lifetime system" and adopts a dynamic management approach. In order to ensure the healthy development of the work, the education administrative departments at the prefectural and municipal level should review and inspect the establishing activities in the heritage schools timely, and the provincial education administrative departments should carry out dynamic monitoring on the establishing activities. The Ministry of Education will organize experts to carry out random sampling inspection and acceptance of the results, and cancel the title of heritage schools for unqualified schools.
