Beautiful China-2018 Global Tourism Year

A few days ago, the National Tourism Administration Office issued a notice of confirming 2018 as the "Beautiful China-2018 Global Tourism Year", with the slogan "New era, new tourism, new acquisition" and "Global tourism, new pursuit".

It was understood that all parts of the country guided by the overall tourism image of "beautiful China", have carried out tourism diplomacy and publicity activities around the theme of "Silk Road Tourism Year", and have achieved important phased results since 2013. In order to implement the 19th CPC National Congress spirit, they have continuously strengthened the construction of "beautiful china", and continuously promoted the balance, full and sustainable development of the tourism market to better meet the tourists' pursuit of a better life.

The notice called for the following work to be done around the theme of "Beautiful China-2018 Global Tourism Year". Firstly, all parts of the country should raise their awareness and do a good job in the design of activities, that is they should do a good job in designing various kinds of tourism market activities, strengthen brand building, pay attention to practical effects, and jointly promote the balance, full and sustainable development of the tourism market. Secondly, all parts of the country should enrich tourism product routes with market demand that is they should base on local resource conditions and tourist market structure, do a good job in the supply of characteristic tourism products, continuously optimize the reception quality of tourism services, and constantly meet the diversified consumption needs of domestic and foreign tourists. Thirdly, all parts of the country should integrate strength and improve the effectiveness of publicity, that is they should continue to use professional institutions and media forces, co-ordinate all kinds of publicity platforms, and fully play the role of the promotion alliance to continue to improve the effectiveness of tourism publicity and promotion work. Fourth, all parts of the county should focus on the highlight and vigorously boost inbound tourism, that is they should sum up the experience of tourism publicity and promotion in recent years, make good use of the overall tourism image of "beautiful China" and continuously enhance the international influence and attraction of China's tourist destinations.

In 2017, Rucheng County received 6.1225 million tourists, an increase of 22%; the total tourism revenue hit 2.63 billion yuan, an increase of 21%. All the data have reached a new high in the past years, the popularity and reputation of the tourism brands in the whole region have been greatly improved, and the global tourism has become a new engine leading the development of county economy.

In recent years, Rucheng County, relying on the abundant advantages of hot spring, science, ecology, red and other tourism resources, has worked out the "General Plan for the Development of Tourism Industry in Rucheng County" and other series of county tourism project plans, and started and implemented a large number of projects. Around the county, earth bridges, bridle bridges and so on, the county has implemented the Changan ecotourism cultural industry park, the Jinshan ancient village series facilities, the first town of Chinese science, Leishui historical and cultural landscape belt and other projects construction; around the Reshui, Sanjiangkou, Jiyi and other towns, the county has implemented the China Hot Spring Expo Museum, Tanghe Old Street, Hot Spring Culture Park, tourist service center, Desoushan Scenic Spot, Reshui Floating Resort Village, Gaotan She Village and other projects construction; around warm water, civilization and so on, the county has implemented Luoquan hot spring development, Yuewang Farm upgrading and transformation, Songxi tea industry expansion and other projects construction, and vigorously promoted the implementation of the global tourism development strategy.

Through the declaration and creation, Rucheng County has become the "Hometown of China's Hot Springs" and "Millennium Ancient County", Rucheng hot spring has won the national best environmental hot spring award, Jiulong River National Forest Park has been selected into the China Forest Oxygen Bar and the first batch of forest rehabilitation pilot base in Hunan province, the former site of Rucheng Southern Hunan Uprising has been selected into the list of "National Red Tourism Classic Scenic Spots", and the Shazhou Red Tourism Scenic Spot has been established as the national 3A tourism scenic spot. The Reshui Town has become the characteristic small town in China, the national characteristic landscape tourism town, the national suitable living town and the beautiful township in Hunan province, and the Tanghe old street district has become the national suitable living district.

In 2018, Rucheng County will surely develop and the global tourism development will be fruitful and brilliant again.
