On January 17th, the forum of key agricultural enterprises was held in our city. The responsible person of municipal related departments and key leading enterprises in the agriculture field combined with the actual situation to exchange views on the existing problems in the current development, the policy support of higher authorities and so on, and discuss the ideas and suggestions on the next development of agriculture in the city.

In recent years, the leading agricultural enterprises in our city have been developed rapidly and preliminarily built up a leading agricultural enterprise system which was adapted to the reality of agricultural development and focused on the processing of agricultural products to provide a strong support for speeding up the transformation and upgrading of modern agriculture and pushing forward the agricultural supply-side reform in our city. In 2017, there were 238 leading agricultural enterprises at or above the city level, with the sale revenue of 41.2 billion yuan, an increase of 16%, including 42 provincial key leading enterprises and 3 national key leading enterprises.

After listening to the speech of the responsible person, Vice Mayor Chen Rongwei affirmed the contribution of leading enterprises to speeding up the process of agricultural modernization in the city. On how to make enterprises stronger and better in the next step, he required that we should learn to make good use of policies and be good at using them to promote the development of enterprises; should improve the top-level layout and build a number of influential agricultural brands; should further strengthen the promotion and application of science and technology and innovate business models; should strengthen the confidence, maintain the strength and consolidate the positive energy of the modern agriculture development. At the same time, the relevant departments should constantly improve the level of service, improve efficiency, try their best to help enterprises solve the difficulties and problems encountered in the process of development, and give maximum support to the development of enterprises to further help enterprises to become bigger, stronger and better; should conscientiously strengthen the supervision of agricultural materials market and grasp from the source management to ensure the quality and safety of agricultural products.
