On January 18th, Chenzhou City held a briefing meeting on the situation of CPPCC members in Chenzhou on the eve of the first session of the 12th Provincial Committee of CPPCC. Party Secretary and Chairman of municipal CPPCC Li Ping presided over the meeting and made a speech.

Zhang Weifeng, Deputy Mayor and Municipal Party Committee Member, attended the meeting and gave a briefing on the economic and social development of Chenzhou. In 2017, Chenzhou gradually improved the quality of economic development, comprehensively deepened reform and innovation, accelerated the pace of opening up, improved the quality of urban and rural environment, and continued to improve the well-being of people's livelihood. In 2018, Chenzhou will focus on industrial construction, expand the steady growth of effective demand, promote the reform and opening up to increase vitality, carry out innovation, highlight the three key points, strengthen the rural revitalization and supplement the weak board, and strengthen the livelihood of the people to promote harmony.

Li Ping hoped that Provincial CPPCC members in Chenzhou could earnestly strengthen the studying on the Constitution of CPPCC and General Secretary Xi Jinping's important documents and exposition since the 18th National Congress on developing socialist consultative democracy, consolidating the patriotic united front and doing a good job in the work of the CPPCC, and constantly improve our ability to perform duties; would take the implementation of the 19th CPC National Congress spirit as the main line, closely focus on the overall work of the municipal party committee and government, persist in proceeding from the reality of Chenzhou's reform and development in the new era, and promote the development of Chenzhou through the provincial CPPCC platform; would strictly abide by the Constitution Law and the Constitution of CPPCC, take the initiative to carry out our duties and safeguard the image of Chenzhou; would communicate with friends, promote and publicize Chenzhou City, and help create a favorable atmosphere for all walks of life in the province to concern, support and promote the development of Chenzhou.

The meeting also reported on the solicitation situation of proposals in the first session of the 13th National CPPCC and the first session of the 12th Province CPPCC. Vice Chairmen of the Municipal CPPCC Cao Jianping, Pan Zhikun, Xie Kaofeng, Wu Guanghui, and Secretary General Yang Saibao, attended the meeting.
